One thing I really love is fine finishes which is why I really love this patio. We designed the layout on an angle to make sure none of the rear windows were blocked by the pergola. This also opened up the view of the backyard and gave the space more depth.
Once the overall layout was established we poured over all the details! From the construction of the pergola, to the quartzite counter top, down to the color of the jointing sand between the pavers - every option was explored.
The most unique feature is the granite counter top. My client loves rocks and fossils -they even had a 3ft cast of a T- Rex skull in the living room! So picking out the granite was quite an experience. They ended up settling on a very unique green quartzite slab with a leather finish.
The color choice was amazing and really set the whole patio a part! The earthy green quartzite contrasted so well with the vibrant stain of the cedar pergola, along with Unilock’s Beacon Hill Smooth Pavers and black Copthrone soldier course and circular inlay.
It’s an amazing space for their family to make memories in for years to come.
